PRESENTATION SUMMARY

Generative AI is transforming the workplace at an unprecedented pace, creating both opportunities and challenges for HR professionals. This session, led by experienced employment lawyers at Littler, will explore the legal and practical implications of integrating AI into HR processes and workforce management. We’ll examine key areas where generative AI intersects with employment law, including:

  • Potential Bias: How AI-driven tools can unintentionally perpetuate discrimination and what employers must do to mitigate risk.
  • Workforce Transformation: The impact of AI on job roles, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Data Privacy: Navigating confidentiality, consent, and regulatory requirements when using AI systems.
  • Intellectual Property: Understanding ownership and usage rights for AI-generated content.
  • Accuracy Concerns: Addressing reliability issues and the legal consequences of AI errors.
  • Risk Management: Strategies for minimizing liability and ensuring ethical AI deployment.
  • AI in the Workplace: Practical steps for drafting policies and training programs to govern AI use responsibly.
  • Join us for an insightful discussion that will equip HR leaders with the knowledge to manage AI-related risks while leveraging its benefits in a legally compliant way.
